Hanna Abi Akl

Professor, Vice Dean

Hanna Abi Akl is a scientist, author, and researcher in language, logic, and artificial intelligence, with expertise in language structure, understanding and generation, as well as symbolic and graph-based knowledge retrieval methods in AI. He currently serves as an NLP Researcher and Professor at Data ScienceTech Institute.

Pr. Didier Auroux

Professor

Didier Auroux is a highly accomplished professor in Applied Mathematics, currently serving as the director of the Master of Science program in applied mathematics and computer science for financial analysis at Université Côte d’Azur and also a member of the CASTOR Inria team in Sophia Antipolis. He has previously held positions as the deputy director of the mathematics lab (Laboratoire J.A. Dieudonné) and director of the Applied Mathematics and Modelling department at Polytech.

With a strong consultancy background, she is also the Practice Manager at Umanis, specializing in Cloud, Edge, Cybersecurity, IoT, and Robotics. She is a speaker at Identity Days, focusing on identity management in Web3 projects.

Martin Van Waerebeke

Professor

Martin Van Waerebeke is a PhD candidate at INRIA Paris, specializing in Federated Machine Unlearning. His previous roles include working on AI for biomedical research at LIVIA in Montréal and serving as a data scientist at Saint-Gobain, the Ministère des Armées, and Taptrove Ventures. He also has experience as a mathematics examiner for engineering preparatory classes. He holds an Engineer’s degree in Mathematics and Data Analysis from CentraleSupélec and a Master’s degree in AI (MVA Masters) from Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay.

Georgiy Bobashev

Adjunct Professor

Dr Georgiy Bobashev is an accomplished data scientist and biostatistician who currently holds positions as an Adjunct Professor at North Carolina State University, an RTI Fellow and Senior Data Scientist at RTI International, an Adjunct Faculty member at University College Dublin, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, having previously completed a PostDoc in Biostatistics & Epidemiology at The John Hopkins University in the USA.

CEO and Professor

Sébastien Corniglion is the Co-Founder and CEO of DSTI and has a background as an Information System Engineer & PhD student at SICTIAM in Sophia-Antipolis, as well as an MBA and MSc in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh. His diverse academic and professional experience has helped shape his leadership in the field of data science and technology.

Dr Jannic Alexander Cutura

Professor

Jannic Alexander Cutura is an economist turned data engineer at the European Central Bank, specializing in supervisory technologies and data. With a background in financial stability and monetary policy, he holds an MSc and PhD in quantitative economics from Goethe University and a Master’s in data engineering from DSTI School of Engineering.  He has held research positions at Columbia University, the IMF, and the Bank for International Settlements. His work focuses on developing scalable data processing solutions to empower regulators and enhance regulatory oversight through innovative regtech tools.
