The following are the major objectives of the Applied Bachelor in Data & Cloud Engineering programme:
Learn to design, maintain, and optimise these systems on cloud computing platforms and in hybrid environments.
Develop skills to design and interact with various database types. Learn to design 'back-office' or 'backend' applications for handling large data, up to Big Data.
Learn Cybersecurity fundamentals to protect user systems. Understand threat identification, security tools, and implement security measures.
Pass diverse professional certifications aligning skills and profile with market needs.
DSTI provides an Applied Bachelor in Data & Cloud Engineering program that spans over 3 years granting 180 ECTS.
The first year of the course is delivered in French, providing students with 550 hours of teaching, 50 hours of support and seminars to build a solid technical and theoretical base. Moreover, students undertake a 8-week internship, which aids their assimilation into the industry.
The second year consists of 550 hours of teaching and 50 hours of support sessions and is taught in both French and English. The year offers an optional apprenticeship or end-of-year internship.
The third and final year, with 550 hours of teaching and 50 hours of support sessions, is taught entirely in English and can only be completed in apprenticeship mode. The year focuses on enhancing students’ practical skills and gaining real professional experience.

AWS Educate, an initiative by Amazon Web Services (AWS), equips students and educators with valuable resources, training materials, and hands-on experience to foster the development of cloud computing skills and facilitate career readiness in the industry.
Azure for Education provides students with Microsoft software, developer tools, and cloud resources for learning and projects, including a $100 voucher.
O’Reilly is a platform offering quality content for effective study. It features over 60,000 books, 30,000 hours of video, live events, and interactive labs covering cloud computing, software architecture, programming languages, machine learning, and more.
DSTI Learn offers students comprehensive access to their studies: notifications, schedules, courses, exams, live sessions, lecture recordings, and project submissions.
A resource that allows students to ask questions or seek assistance with academic, career, or administrative tasks. Students can also revisit the answers whenever necessary.
All DSTI students enjoy lifelong alumni email access and are given Microsoft Windows and Office 365 licenses during their studies.
The Applied Bachelor in Data & Cloud Engineering offers promising prospects due to the rise of big data. Professionals skilled in constructing and maintaining data pipelines are sought after. Data engineers are needed in finance, healthcare, e-commerce, social media and more. The US Bureau of Labour Statistics predicts an 11% job growth in data engineering by 2029.

The admission procedure at the Data ScienceTech Institute (DSTI) is an inclusive endeavour that provides deserving candidates a fair chance. This outlined admission process applies to all study modes.
To be considered for the DSTI’s Bachelor programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Applicants should either have or be on track to achieve a baccalaureate. Do provide trasncript of grades from your penultimate and last year.
Applicants should either have studied or be studying scientific subjects that involve applied mathematics.
Prospective students are required to successfully pass an admission interview to be considered for acceptance onto the Bachelor programme.
DSTI Bachelor students at DSTI can have any laptop they like, including a ChromeBook, as they will be provided with a Cloud-Based PC with the necessary specifications for their studies. The only criteria would be to have a minimum of 13″ screen but preferably 15″.
Tablets are not acceptable devices.
The description below applied only as guidance for those who would seek to own a laptop “up to specifications”.

Minimum 512GB, 1TB recommended.
SSD preferred, but a dual-drive system with 128GB/256GB SSD + 512GB or 1TB magnetic drive is a good alternative.
