TELL US MORE ABOUT YOURSELF.
Above all, a job is more of a passion and a vocation. I am what is now called a slasher. I made the choice to continue to share, train, and apply what I constantly discover in the IT, Digital and Data sector. I am Group Digital and Retail Director for a major retailer. And in parallel, I share my experiences as CTO and CPO Advisor for Starts-Ups and Scales-Ups in Europe mainly.

Students can learn the following:
- DevOps Culture – The culture of collaboration between Dev and Ops
- DevOps Practices – The practices which support the goals of DevOps culture
- DevOps Tools – The tools that help DevOps practices
- DevOps and the Cloud – The relationship between DevOps and the cloud
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO INCLUDE THIS COURSE IN THE APPLIED MSC DATA ENGINEERING PROGRAMME?
DevOps has radically changed the behavioral and, collaborative landscape and practices of the IT industry. It has spread through different companies and across different traditional departments (Marketing, Core IT, etc.) and has led to the creation of new departments (Cloud, Data, Digital, etc.) It has become mandatory for any company to modernize and value its assets related to business in order to develop its business while not reinventing the wheel all the time. And all this in a culture of efficiency and benevolence.
ACCORDING TO YOU, WHAT ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES OR SKILLS TO SUCCEED IN THIS FIELD?
Absolutely no technology is predominant. It must be understood that DevOps is not just a story of tools but a culture of collaboration, efficiency and learning. The DevOps movement has not stopped growing since 2009, and is no longer a small, niche movement. It has since become mainstream and has spawned a large variety of tools. Completely changed the IT industry forever.
WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST DATA CHALLENGES THAT INDUSTRIES ARE FACING TODAY?
The industry faces its own understanding of itself. Through data, correlations of data and events related to changes in its data, the industry can sometimes re-discover its own internal functioning and its relationship to customers and prospects present. In the same way, the reinforcement of the collaboration between the different trades through the exploitation of the data, can prove to be a challenge.
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS WHO WISH TO FOLLOW THE DATA ENGINEERING PROGRAMME?
Above all participate, prioritise collaboration and share perseverance. Believe in your ambitions, believe in your ability to learn.
